Growing the hive

Clean Bees was born in 2014, based on the values that we believe to be the most important:

1.) Exceptional customer service

2.) Timely, professional communication

3.) A well-trained team of experts

4.) A truly eco-friendly ethos

5.) Ethical business practices

And there was obviously something in it because within 24 hours of doing the first flyer drop, we had our first customer.

It wasn’t long before the team grew to 3 and then 5 and then 10. Today we directly employ a team of 40 top quality cleaners without a zero hours contract in sight - because ethics isn’t just a buzzword for us.

When you employ a cleaning company, whether it’s for a one-off deep clean at home or a weekly office spruce up, we know there are some fundamental things you look for.You want to trust that the work will be completed without you having to check it. You want to know that your cleaners will go above and beyond and do an exceptional job. And you want to know that should there be a problem or query you can get hold of someone to sort it out. That’s why we’ve put quality, communication and customer service at the heart of our business.

And that’s why we have a commercial client retention rate of over 98%.

I would go as far to say Clean Bees are outstanding. We have a specific list that the girls do each week but it’s never a problem if I want to swap something. Sometimes I even find they’ve done something I hadn’t expected which is always a lovely surprise! Nothing is ever too much trouble!

Here at Clean Bees it’s important to us that we make sure our business operations are ethically sound and we adjust our practices wherever we can to reduce our impact on the environment.

We do this by:

1.) Using high quality eco-cleaning products as our first choice.

2.) Recycling all product bottles and refilling as we go.

3.) Steam cleaning as standard for tiled floors to eliminate bacteria without the need for harsh chemicals.

4.) Upgrading our Henry vacuum cleaners to feature HEPAFLO filters and bags that are approved by the British Allergy Association.

5.) Choosing washable cotton and jute bags, instead of plastic, to carry our cloths.

6.) Creating paperless processes for invoicing and company communications.

Perhaps one of the proudest ethical commitments we make as a business is that unlike many of our competitors, we do not use zero-hours contracts.

This assurance means our staff retention rate is extremely high, helping us keep a happy Hive of cleaners who are dedicated to their jobs and to making sure our clients are well looked after.
